Jeffrey Woods, PhD., is Assistant Professor of History at Arkansas

Tech University. His research focus is on segregation and

anticommunism in the Cold War South and he is the author of Black

Struggle, Red Scare: Segregation and Anticommunism in the South,

1948-1968 (2004).
